The Sketchbook Project 2012
World Tour

The Sketchbook Project 2012 goes on tour! You can see my sketchbook, Travel with Me to the Napa Valley, in any of thirteen venues all across the United States. 

Opening in Brooklyn, New York, in April, it moves to Chicago, Illinois; Portland, Oregon; Vancouver, Canada; and Los Angeles, California in May.

I'll be going to visit it in Oakland, California, June 1st - 20th; and in July it goes to the Lynn, Massachusetts in the Greater Boston area; followed by Portland, Maine; and Toronto, Canada.

In August, it goes to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Atlanta, Georgia; and in September it travels to Winter Park, Florida and Austin, Texas. I hope you'll have a chance to see it somewhere along the way!

A little personal note: I particularly appreciate that the Boston show will actually be in nearby Lynn – a one-time industrial town, and the third oldest town in Massachusetts, which was founded by my Ingalls ancestors.

Napa Valley Open Studios 2012

We're planning already for Napa Valley Open Studios' 25th anniversary year! Napa Valley Open Studios is run by the participating artists; this year I was elected to the steering committee that puts it together. I'm looking forward to the last two weekends of September - but there's a lot of work to do first...

I'm planning a series of large landscape paintings of the area where I live – 3' x 4' and 30" x 40" paintings – my special project for 2012.
